Screenshots Process

I first started by changing the vibrance to some of the images I had taken so the sheen on the wood wasn't as bright, because I wanted the image to look dimmer and appear more depressing/eerie however before I edited the images they were taken in the sunlight so the reflection was brighter giving a more uplifting feeling which I didn't want for my design.

Then I changed the threshold on all the images so they became more like an old photo which is more grainy and distorts the image more adding to the eerie tone as its harder to work out what the image actually is.

Then after repeatedly photocopying the typography which I originally created in illustrator so it looked as if it had been written freely by hand then scanned back in with the distorted text was then selected using the magic wand tool. I then created an animation by duplicating the layer several times and then on the animation creating a new frame for each layer. I blurred the text gradually on each frame so it appeared as if the text was slowly fading away into the background.
I used the same technique on all of the images to create a consistent eerie feeling through out the digital story.
